Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital

In continuation of its efforts to provide excellent medical facilities to the citizens of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmad Dawood on behalf of The Dawood Foundation, contributed in establishing Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital in September 1986. Mr. Dawood along with the country’s elite philanthropists, government officials and internationally acclaimed doctors assembled on a single platform to launch a state of the art eye hospital near Islamabad with 250 beds.

The aims and objectives of the trust are prevention and control of blindness by providing standard and sustainable eye care services which are accessible and affordable, human resource development through training of doctors, nurses and paramedics, creating awareness about eye diseases in general public through camping activity and to establish facilities for research in ophthalmology

Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization that comprises of over 40 highly qualified doctors that successfully operate over 60 patients, on average, daily. The hospital caters to more than 700 patients every day. The hospital specializes in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Vitreo-Retina, Cornea and Refractive Surgery, Oculoplastics and Glaucoma.

Memon Health Foundation

Memon Health & Education Foundation

The Dawood Foundation has contributed to the expansion of the Memon Medical Institute Hospital (MMIH) that is providing patients with state-of-the-art medical facilities in the vicinity. MMIH is a 332 bed tertiary care hospital that works on a not-for-profit set up.


Agha Khan Hospital & Medical College Foundation

The Dawood Foundation has made substantial donations to the Agha Khan Medical College and Hospital including funds to upgrade their Emergency department with state of the art machinery.

Blood Donation - 2014

Blood Donation Drives

The Dawood Foundation has supported blood collection drives over the past several years. It collaborated with Fatimid Foundation for a blood donation camp at Dawood Center in April 2014. The campaign was designed to motivate employees to voluntarily donate blood for children with thalassemia.

TDF also expressed its solidarity with the victims of Army Public School attack in December 2014 by initiating a blood donation drive.


Vaccination Drives

The Dawood Foundation has on a number of occasions arranged for free vaccination facility along with its blood donation drives.

It has also organized free hepatitis vaccination programs for junior staff at Dawood Center.


Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital

Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre is also a recipient of donations from TDF. The hospital provides free of cost comprehensive care to thousands of needy cancer patients.
