The Dawood Foundation encourages young minds to actively participate in co-curricular activities allowing them to discover their talents. The Foundation regularly organizes summer camps that engage children through challenging and fun filled activities that nourishes their intellects.

Summer Camp

Summer camp organized by TDF for the students of Govt School situated in PECHS block 2. Over 50 students learning Computers, English and Maths. Along with this Arts and music are also included to keep the interest of students alive.

World Book Day

In continuation of its efforts to promote reading amongst female students on Karachi, The Dawood Foundation recently organized a book festival at P.E.C.H.S Govt Girls School, Karachi, where students from government and private educational institutes enthusiastically participated. The Foundation donated over 1000 books to the school for development of its library.

Tracey Curtis Taylor Visits to DPS

Children of DPS gave a warm welcome to renowned aviator and pilot Tracey Curtis, Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark, mountaineer Samina Baig, and Mrs and Mr Hussain Dawood Chairman. Children wearing traditional costumes projected the cultural diversity and women empowerment in Pakistan. The pageant was organized by TDF in collaboration with Engro Corp.

Summer Camp for Under-Privileged Children

With an aim to inspire underprivileged children to pursue education for a better life, The Dawood Foundation(TDF) organised a fun-filled and interactive summer camp at DPS. The two week summer camp was organized from 11th July to 22nd July. Over 100 children from various backgrounds including street children were being guided by experts of subjects. The program was specially designed to let every child explore and exhibit their creative flare. It refines the unique skills that every individual possesses and provides a rich learning opportunity. The camp includes activities pertaining to the fields of Science, English, Arts & Crafts, Computers and Music among others.

Children Literature Festival and Teachers Literature Festival

Sharing a common vision of promoting reading, creativity and critical thinking amongst children and teachers, The Dawood Foundation collaborated with Children Literature Festival (CLF) & Teachers Literature Festival (TLF), which were hosted at Dawood Public School from 26th to 28th February. Over 10,000 students from public and private schools actively participated in interactive sessions to learn with fun. Renowned educationists, authors, scholars, poets, musicians, artists and politicians joined the cause by conducting seminars, music classes and fun-filled interactive sessions.

Embracing latest technology with traditional methods of learning, CLF/TLF featured talks, interactive readings, discussions and workshops. The festival also included sessions on creative writing, bookmaking, poetry, comics, digital stories, book reviews as well as book launches, book fair, theatre, cartoon, music and much more.

The Festival concluded and provided the young learners an opportunity to be inspired by their mentors and to follow into their footsteps for their brighter future.
