A legacy that inspires change

The Dawood Foundation (TDF) was founded in 1960 by Ahmed Dawood, bringing to life a vision he had held for nearly a decade. It was conceived to support and promote learning in science, technology, and research across Pakistan.

Over the years, TDF has moved from establishing formal institutions to creating inclusive, informal learning spaces for people of all ages. This shift has given our projects more flexibility and interactivity, opening new ways to engage audiences and empower individuals to drive collective change. We aim to inspire everyone to explore the world around them and to discover the joy of science.

Today, our initiatives span science literacy, cultural heritage, environmental conservation, formal schooling, and disaster relief, each designed to meet people where they are. Environmental stewardship is a growing focus: through awareness and community engagement, we encourage a deeper understanding of the natural world and responsible action to protect it, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient future for generations to come.

TDF has also supported healthcare and stood by communities during times of national crisis.
